Portal

The assignment was to contrast geometric and organic forms on two offset halves of a circle.
Here I played with the idea of nature as a portal that calls you into a rich timeless adventure contrasting technology as a wall that chains you to the hands of time.
Justice

Here I was playing with the idea of coming justice.
Self Portrait

Our final for painting class was a self portrait, it could be anything we wanted as long it represented our self.
When I began to draw I thought it would be interesting to do it left handed. My whole life I wrote right handed but played sports with my left, so I had some confidence I could make it work. I played with that ability here. On the left I made it as literal as I was able, using my right hand to channel the left side of my brain. On the Right I used my left hand and made it as abstract as I could using the self deprecating humor my group of friends are known for.
Plus, how cool is it to have a nice oil painting of a trashcan!
Pear

It's a pear.
